This is the latest reiteration of the Layers of Savannah series by local painter Stephen Kasun. Original acrylic on canvas using only palette knives, never any brushes. Neutral grays and blue tones bounce off warm cream and beige tones with dark tones of black and navy that add depth and interest as you stare into the painting. As if seeing a Savannah landscape of buildings from afar through a blurred lens. Silver and Gold leaf sprinkled throughout the canvas, catch the light in certain angles creating more interest and uniqueness. Cream colored frame included. Ready to hang.
"The Layers of Savannah series features stacked planes or blocks with varied treatments of paint, reinventing themselves much the same way Savannah keeps reinventing herself over top of historic paralleled pasts." - Stephen
